diversity, equity, and inclusion is at the core of what we do.

Xena FP is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion with our clients, within our firm, and in the financial services industry.

We take the broadest possible view of diversity. Our community is comprised of individuals from a variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to, the following protected classes:

Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Nationality, Religion, Disability, Age, Parental Status, and Socio-Economic Status.

Our clients

We treat every person with respect and dignity. We honor each individual and the full expression of their humanity which makes our work together more successful and meaningful. We are cognizant of how unjust systems have created racial and gender earnings/wealth gaps. While we acknowledge the reality, we employ a variety of strategies to help our clients counter these systems. These include:

Our firm

The firm leadership is committed to supporting and encouraging each team member on their own career path, to be their best self.

The financial services industry

We are committed to advocating for the representation of people from a variety of backgrounds in financial services, more accurately reflecting the population of the US.

We regularly engage in initiatives (i.e. BLX Internship for Black/LatinX financial professionals) within our industry to create opportunities, increase access and center the voices of women/non-binary folks and people of color, and specifically women of color.

Danika is a member of the Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA).

Mariana and Danika have both signed the Choir Pledge, which sets higher standards for conference diversity and representation.

In 2023, we conducted a thorough review of all vendors we do business with. We also set targets for improving on this front. We strive to work with businesses that are owned by a woman or person of color, where possible.
